NILD Educational Therapy® treats the underlying causes of learning difficulties rather than simply treating the symptoms. It is a true therapy in that it aims the intervention just above the student’s level of functioning and raises expectations for performance. The goal of NILD Educational Therapy® is to help students develop tools of independent learning in the classroom and in life.

Testimonials

“Our son was diagnosed with a learning disability in second grade. At the time of his diagnosis, his reading and writing level was pre-kindergarten. We immediately began checking into programs that would address his disabilities. We enrolled him in the National Institute for Learning Development (NILD) program. The therapy and techniques that our son has learned in this program have allowed him to be successful in the regular classroom and gain the skills necessary to be independent. Our son graduated from high school and attended college. We are thankful for the NILD program and the dedicated therapists that have worked with our son. It is a program that has a proven record of success and has been a God-send for our son!”

-Teacher & NILD Parent

“We noticed our daughter struggle, particularly in math, beginning in second grade. Her struggles increased across the curriculum in third grade and by the time she entered fourth grade, she was doing three-four hours of homework seven days a week just to keep up. Testing revealed that our daughter was slow at processing the information she was given. Our daughter needed a lot of extra time to figure things out. She also needed step-by-step logic with strategies on how to comprehend and remember information. The NILD therapy that our daughter did with Myra Willemin and the homework with rhythmic writing has truly made a difference. NILD targeted our daughter’s learning weaknesses. She is more confident, independent, and less frustrated today than ever before and this is the direct result of the NILD therapy.”

-Elementary Principal, NILD parent

“The positive results of the NILD program will always stay with us. Our son’s grades, self-esteem, confidence level and social interaction have all significantly improved since his enrollment in the program. The NILD program has absolutely provided an improved quality of life for our son.”

-NILD Parent

“I would highly recommend it to anyone!”
